Richmond's Country Kitchen at 228 B St. in Rainier reopened May 7 after four months of construction and painting. "We put in new carpet, repainted, added a room and new bathrooms," owner Bill Richmond said. He originally closed the restaurant because someone had offered to buy it, but the deal fell through. The remodel added 32 seats, bring the eatery's total seating to 49. The restaurant's number is 503-556-1850.
