Mission Statement To provide emergency assistance to those in need in the greater Rainier community by providing food and other necessities. H.O.P.E. provides emergency food assistance, firewood, school supplies, clothing, and crisis assistance to families and individuals who are at or below the federal poverty guidelines, and those in emergency situations such as fire, flood, or financial crisis. Clients may come in for emergency food assistance a maximum of 12 times per year. In 2002, we served 333 unduplicated families (980 individuals, 331 of which were children). The number of unduplicated families served so far in 2003 (as of June 31) is 215 (623 individuals, 224 of which are children). You can help us fight against hunger by: making a tax deductible donation of money, food clothing, school supplies or firewood; organizing a food drive or fundraiser; or sponsoring a family at Thanksgiving or Christmas. H.O.P.E is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. Donations are tax deductible. Receipts given upon request. |
