Dear Friend, For a generation SOLV has been developing new and innovative ways to address the pressing challenges faced by Oregon. Whether that challenge is cleaning the entire coastline, providing grants and educational resources to students and teachers, or restoring threatened watershed habitat, SOLV helps lead the way for collaborative changes. We are in your community and in communities across the state getting things done. SOLV is dynamic and growing, but we need your help to continue the momentum. Here's why: SOLV supports an average of 1,300 projects per year absolutely free of charge! That means getting assistance to communities where it is needed so that lack of resources is not a barrier to motivated volunteer leaders. Here are just a few examples of the support SOLV provides to more than 200 Oregon communities: |
SOLV e-Update
The SOLV e-Update features projects and events taking place all around Oregon. We encourage you to browse it for volunteer opportunities and SOLV events near you. To see a listing of SOLV projects throughout the year, visit our events calendar at www.solv.org/volunteers/volunteer_calendar.asp
Do you know someone who would like to get involved with SOLV? Joining a SOLV project is a great way to spend time with family, friends and co-workers while doing something good for your community. Please forward this email to a friend and have them sign up for future SOLV E-updates at www.solv.org. SOLV | www.solv.org | 5193 NE Elam Young Pkwy, Ste B, Hillsboro, OR 97124 | 503.844.9571 |

These time-tested services are producing positive results in communities across the state at a time when they are needed most. But the hard, plain truth is that despite the efforts of thousands of volunteers, there is still so much more work that must get done. We need more volunteers to take action across the state. Action creates action. If we are to fund future community improvement projects, we must strengthen our membership. The money raised before year end will help fuel the critical work that lies ahead. More money raised means more resources for more volunteers to get more work done now, and in the future. As SOLV expands its efforts, we are reaching out to key supporters who already know us to say Join us in supporting the critical work at SOLV with a year-end donation! Whether it is a watershed restoration project in Pendleton, support for students and teachers in Grants Pass, or facilitating a volunteer training in Brookings, your donation will support the vision of Oregonians who, just like you, want a better Oregon for their families, their community, and future generations of Oregonians. Sincerely, Jack McGowan
